  The male nurse that helped us was lovely and gave me some helpful advice to reduce future ear infections which no other doctor GP or hospital doctor had told me.

  After hours convenience. Handy for advise and confirmation of illnesses and minor injuries without the long wait times at A and E. Don't do Xrays and if only nurse is on duty medications cannot be prescribed.

  Otherwise we would have been waiting for a possibility of an appointment the next day at the GP. By then he could have had non stop vomitting from an ear infection as had happened in the past twice ending in a trip to hospital. So yay for the walk in centre!

  Nurses there are very practical and always willing to go the extra mile, have visited a few times and every time has been positive :)

  Have tried to use the service twice...once for daughter with tonsolitis...nurses can't prescribe penecillin....another for son with gastro....nurses can't give out nausea medication! Headed to hospital on both occassions to join the queue of people that the "walk in centres" are supposed to be helping avoid. Another typical ACT health care facade, if you want a bandaid or a panadol then sure, walk on in. I question what classifies as a 'minor illness', stubbed toe perhaps?
